The Domaine is entirely fenced, in the art of the forest Bessède : a paradise for you and your children !

On site :

You can of course enjoy the heated pool (open from Avril to Septembre, depending on the weather), but also outdoor games : petanque, trampoline, swings, ping-pong…

For your evenings, do not hesitate to ask us for a board game or sit comfortably in the “recreation” to with on of the many movies or go bowling with the WII.

From the chalets :  here are some examples of activities we can suggest  :

located between 10 and 30mns drive from the chalets, you will find :

Poney and horse center, canoe kayak on the Dordogne and Vezere rivers and enjoy their beaches, golf, tennis, fishing… We will be able to advise you on the several providers.

Markets an festivals : Discover the local markets of Belvès, St Cyprien, Le Buisson de Cadouin, and of course the famous market of Sarlat. Many festivals take place during the year : theater and cinéma festivals of Sarlat, Bach festival at Belvès…

Gastronomy : Taste the flavors of Perigord, truffes, porcini mushrooms, foie Gras, duck breasts… We’ll be able to advise on some nice restaurants around the Domaine. And also, from late June to early September, takes place everyday in a différent village, the “gourmets markets”. Each village, instals large tables on the main square around which local producers divers come to sell their home made products. We buy and consume on site, a friendly and festive atmosphere with a musical ambiance.

For hiking lovers, several possibilities from the chalets, walking or cycling, it will certainly be the best way to discover the countryside and the local history. On the way you will come across traditional 15 to 20m high pigeons hunting huts in the middle of the woods, old chapels et castel, and keeping your eyes wide opened, you may be able to see some roes, deers and wild boars.

The local tourist office will supply you with the necessary maps of the different walks.

And if you are here at the right time, do not hesitate to sign up for a gourmet walk… Let’s not forget that we are in Perigord !  The principle is simple : you walk through the woods and countryside for 6 to 8km, and every one ro two km, there will be stands for you to rest, drink and eat. First is the appetizer, then the starter, the main course and at last the desert. A very pleasant moment for the whole family.

How about spending a day in a canoe along the Dordogne or the Vezere ? Departures are organized at about 15 km from the Domaine de la Bessede, on your own or sharing a canoe, for a few hours or for the day. Picnic, swimmings, the children will have to be 4 or 5 years old at least. From the rivers, you will appreciate the very nice views on castles and hills overhanging the valley.
